The shop that Kiki built.

Well, Kiki supervised. Jessie, his wife and his sister did the heavy lifting.

The Kïki's family: Jessie, his wife, his sister and Kiki

A family business with a four-legged boss.

Kïki's Sweets is a family shop in the Hertel Avenue corridor of North Buffalo. Jessie runs it with his wife and his sister. The name on the sign belongs to Kiki, who approves of everything we do as long as there are treats. Dog treats, obviously.

We opened because Buffalo deserved a real Swedish candy shop. So we built one: a self-serve wall stocked with Bubs, Ahlgrens bilar, Aroma, Vidal, Grahns Konfektyr, Astra, Candy People and Malaco, plus bulk candy and nostalgic treats from around the world.

It's one of the only shops in the Buffalo area dedicated to Swedish candy, and it's for everybody: first-time scoopers, Swedes missing home, and grandparents who remember when candy came in paper bags.

House rules.

  • Only the real thing

Imported Swedish and Scandinavian brands, plus nostalgic favorites from around the world. No knock-offs.

  • You pick every piece

Self-serve means zero filler. Nobody should ever have to eat the green one.

  • Candy for good company

It's printed on our bags because we mean it. Share the bag. Or at least think about it.

  • A sweet for every sweet tooth

All ages, all cravings, and lighter options for anyone watching their macros.

Swedish candies arranged in a circle

Inspired by Saturday.

Generations of Swedish families have set aside one special day each week to enjoy sweets together. What began as a healthier approach to candy became a ritual centered on joy, balance and a little bit of weekend magic.

We brought that tradition to North Buffalo: Scandinavian favorites, nostalgic classics and colorful discoveries worth waiting all week for. Or not waiting at all. Your call.

Why Swedish candy?

  • 35 lb

of candy per Swede, per year. More than anyone on the planet. We respect the hustle.

  • 1959

the year Sweden basically made Saturday official candy day. Best memo ever written.

  • 1980s

when pick & mix took over Sweden. Now it's taking over Hertel Ave.

Our shop on Hertel Ave is a self-serve wall of Swedish candy, international treats and nostalgic favorites. Bring the kids, the grandparents, the friend who says they don't like candy. Everyone leaves with a bag they picked themselves.
